Overview

Navitas is ready to invest in you!  We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Clerk in Ann Arbor, Michigan that will be responsible for all activities related to the shipping and receiving process, such as pre-notification of inbound material, input of receiving from outside vendors and maintaining an overview of the flow of trucks in and out of the facility, creating work order kits, receiving finished goods, and maintaining inventory counts.

 

This position will pay $20 per hour.

 

Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and training.

Responsibilities

  • Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
  • Efficiently following the orders of the supervising authority and reporting to the same.
  • Pulling and issuing kits physically and in the system.
  • Counting, sorting, and weighing all inbound goods and authenticating the receipt of the same in accord with the packing slip; ensures incoming materials are verified on a timely basis.
  • Inspecting the received goods, making note of any damages and discrepancies, and immediately reporting the same and ensuring timely reporting of any suspect material damage.
  • Keeping a record of all received goods and records parts received within the ERP system.
  • Proposing suggestions to the supervisor with regard to the documentation, storage and procurement of goods.
  • Coordinating with the transporter and other workers of the organization for smoothly receiving of goods.
  • Packaging and shipping of finished goods, processing paperwork, and dropping off packages when needed to UPS and Fedex.
  • Completing all legal formalities, procedures, and paperwork for receiving the goods.
  • Performs in a manner that will prevent errors and omissions.
  • Provides advisory support and assistance to the department manager as needed.
  • Responsible for meeting team targets and key performance indicators
  • Participate in activities needed to support the management functions of the team.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and operate in a safe manner
  • Physical presence on the job is essential and necessary
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • 1-3 years’ experience warehouse related 
  • 1+ years’ experience in truck coordination related

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Individuals must be comfortable supporting US military-funded work and building products for US and ally military testing and use.
  • Hazardous shipment training / certification (ie Lithium Batteries preferred)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required
  • Exceptional organizational skills, multi-tasking skills, and strong decision-making capabilities required
  • Proven teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently
  • High level of creativity and problem-solving skills

ITAR REQUIREMENTS: To conform to U.S. Government International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) the individual must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
