The HR Generalist will work as part of the human resources team. In this position, the HR Generalist will provide recommendations, and suggestions to support to business operations. This position is responsible for the coordination and administration of key business processes including part of payroll process, recruiting, talent development, and maintenance of training/employee records, employee concerns. This position requires computer knowledge and manual dexterity. This position requires the ability to read instructions represented in manuals and follow these instructions. This position exists in a temperature-controlled environment.
• Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures.
• Manage the hiring process, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and facilitating new employee orientations.
• Utilize various methods to identify potential candidates, including job boards, social media, job fairs, networking events, and employee referrals.
• Correspond with internal customers as needed.
• Maintain company policies and procedures and makes recommendations on improvements, additions, or deletions.
• Assist with compliance with federal, state, and local legislation pertaining to all HR matters.
• Assists with communication changes in the organization's HR policies and procedures and ensures that proper compliance is followed.
• Assists in the annual process, preparation and administration of the organization's wage and salary program, training program.
• Understands and assist in benefit administration including open enrollment.
• Coordinates or conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
• Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
• Attends and participates as needed in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
• Coordinates, facilitates, and tracks training and documentation.
• Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
• Participates on committees and special projects and seeks additional responsibilities.
• Prepares reports as needed.
• Performs in a manner that will prevent errors and omissions.
• Provides advisory support and assistance to the department manager as needed.
• Responsible for meeting team targets and key performance indicators
• Participate in activities needed to support the management functions of the team.
• Follow all safety guidelines and operate in a safe manner.
• Physical presence on the job is essential including weekends and holidays if deemed necessary.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
